Dr.
Rajasekaran V is an Assistant Professor Senior in the Division of Social
Sciences and Languages works for VIT University Chennai Campus, Tamilnadu,
India.
He is the recipient of IATEFL Scholarship to attend
52nd IATEFL International Conference at Brighton, UK during April 2018 and
recipient of Betty Azar Travel grant to attend TESOL International Convention
and Expo at Atlanda, Georgia, USA during March 2019.
He has visited
many countries including England, Scotland, France, Netherlands,
Belgium, Switzerland, Singapore, Malaysia, Oman and Srilanka. He has delivered
keynote addresses in International conferences held in India, Singapore,
Malaysia and Thailand.
He
holds an MA (English), an M.Sc (Psychology), an M.Phil (ELT) and PhD in Linguistics. He
is the seasoned teacher, researcher and administrator with a decade and a half
years of experience.
He is
the Cambridge University BEC Speaking
Examiner. Currently, he teaches
English as a second language, Business English, Legal English, Technical
English and English for Special Purposes.
He has
already produced one PhD candidate. Currently,four full time and one-part time
candidates are pursuing their Ph. D under his guidance at VIT University
Chennai campus.
He has
served in almost all capacities in academic and administrative cadres
particularly as HoD, BoS Member, International
Journals -Editorial Board member, Ph.D. examiner and Assistant Director.
His
research acumen can be understood with his
impressive track record of 1edited book, 32 papers in reputed international
journals including Scopus indexed. He has participated at 25 International Conferences, 8 National
Conferences, 10 seminars and 19 workshops. He is the most sought resource person and he has delivered around 100 invited
talks.
His association with various national and
international professional bodies like International Association of
Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL) UK, International Association of Teaching English
to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) USA, English Language Teachers
Association of India (ELTAI), Systemic
Functional Linguistics Association (SFLA), Hyderabad, Life Member of Indian
Society of Technical Education (ISTE) New Delhi, Indian Society of Training and
Development (ISTD) India, Indian Association for Commonwealth Literature and
Language Studies (IACLALS) India prove his wide connection in his field across
globe.
He
strongly believes that Continuous
Professional Development (CPD) is
